Jetty Park FAQs

Can I arrive to the campground before my check-in time?
Check-in time is strictly enforced – 2:00 PM for RV’s and tents and 3:00 PM for cabins. If you arrive prior to check-in time, you are welcome to enjoy the beach and day park (as long as you not have a pet). You will not be able to go to your site until check-in time.
Do I have to leave at 9:00 PM?
We have overnight security to ensure everyone has left when the park closes at 9:00 PM. Only Campground guests can access the beach and pier after hours. If you would like to be in the park after hours, make a campsite reservation here: https://www.camplife.com/1162/reservation/step1.
There is a launch coming up, will you be open?
Our regular hours are 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. However, hours may change on launch days. Please check our Facebook page for launch-related updates or call us at 321-783-7111 for more information.
How do I purchase a pass?
Passes must be bought online at https://shop.portcanaveral.com/ prior to entering Jetty Park - additional information can be found here.
Why can’t I bring my pet in the park?
Jetty Park does not offer a designated pet area.
What time does the beach, park, and pier close?
The beach, park and pier close at 9:00 PM daily.
What should I do if I spot a sick, injured or dead animal?
If you find a dead, sick, or injured manatee or sea turtle, please call Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s 24-hour Wildlife Alert Number at 1-888-404-FWCC (1-888-404-3922) or the Sea Turtle Preservation Society’s 24/7 Emergency Number at (321) 206-0646.  The Port Operations Center at (321) 394-3281 can provide additional assistance and guidance for other species/incidents.
Someone else will be entering in my vehicle, can I change the name on the pass?
The passes are associated with the vehicle and not the person.
Is there a shuttle for Kennedy Space Center?
There is no shuttle from Jetty Park, however drive share is popular in the area.
I'm not staying, I just want to drive in the park and look around for a minute.
All vehicles coming to Jetty Park must have a pass. You can purchase a pass at https://shop.portcanaveral.com/.

Special Events FAQs

What types of special events can be hosted at Port Canaveral?

Am I able to reserve parking space for my guests at Jetty Park?
All guests must purchase a Jetty Park Day Pass or use their Jetty Park Annual Pass to enter the park. All ceremony-related parking must be in designated parking spaces only, which are first come, first served.
Can I have a reception on the beach after my ceremony?
Private receptions are not allowed on the beach before or after the ceremony. There are pavilions available to rent at Jetty Park.
What decorations am I allowed to use on the beach for my ceremony?
The Beach Ceremony Permit Application packet includes the Rules and Regulations which lists all prohibited items. Please review this information before submitting your application.
Do I have to submit a Beach Ceremony application if it will just be a couple people at the ceremony?
Beach Ceremony application must be submitted regardless of the size of the ceremony. Fees associated with the permit are adjusted to take the size and impact of the ceremony into consideration.
Do I have to submit my Beach Ceremony application during the Special Events submittal periods?
Beach Ceremony applications are accepted and reviewed year-round. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the requested ceremony date but not more than 90 days prior to the ceremony date.
I’ve submitted my request during the submittal period. When will I find out if my event has been approved or not?
The Canaveral Port Authority Special Events Committee has a meeting every April and October to review all Special Events requests for approval. After the meeting the decisions go through a final approval process, after which the Supervisor of Events will let all requestees know the status of their request.
Do I have to submit a Special Event request to have an event in Jetty Park?
There are pavilions available for rent for small private gatherings. Any events that are open to the public, exceed the capacity of the pavilion rented, or require assistance from outside organizations (Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Canaveral Fire Rescue, equipment rentals, etc.) require a Special Event request submitted during the designated submittal periods.
Can I submit a Special Event request to have an event inside of the Exploration Tower?
The Exploration Tower is not available to request as an event location. The Exploration Tower lawn remains available to host events.
What type of events can I request to have at Port Canaveral?
All Special Event requests will be reviewed and approved in accordance with the Special Event Policy (link). Please review the policy to see if your event meets the qualifications for approval.

Boat Ramps FAQs

Is parking free?
Yes, parking is included in your Jetty Park Pass.
Can I park my vehicle overnight at the boat ramps while out fishing on my boat?
Yes, as long as you are out fishing on your boat.
Can I camp out at the boat ramps overnight?
No, you can camp at Jetty Park by making a reservation.
Can I bring my boat or jet ski in Jetty Park if I’m visiting for the day?
Jet skis or boats on trailers are not allowed entry to Jetty Park beach.

Campground FAQs

If I'm currently camping, can I access the day park after 9:00 PM?
Yes, only current campers have access to the beach and pier after hours. Please note that fishing from the rocks is not permitted.
Are there weekly and monthly camping rates?
All rates are daily rates.
When does Jetty Park have camping availability, it always seems full?
The Jetty Park Campground is extremely popular and booked many months in advance.  We suggest you make a reservation a year in advance or book during the slower months (July-September). 
Can I see my campsite before I make a reservation?

If I camp on the inlet, why do I need to turn my generator off at 10pm?
Our quiet hours begin at 10pm and due to the nuisance of the generator, we ask that they be turned off during quiet hours.
Do you have laundry facilities on site?
Yes, we have two. The machines accept payment through the “LaundryValue” app only. Please download the app in advance.

Is there a pool in the campground?
The Jetty Park Campground does not have a pool but the campground is located next to the ocean.
